So, Threads launched last week. While I'm pretty sad about Twitter's painful and prolonged death (because let's be real, how can they come back from this?? there are new scandals EVERY WEEK) I'm also really conflicted about Thread's existence, and it's parent company: Meta.

Twitter has been going downhill ever since Elon Musk purchased it last year, and the vibrant artistic community that used to live there is increasingly moving off-platform. So where are artists supposed to go next? Is Threads the next social media platform for artists and creative content creators? Let's talk about it.
