AC/DC - If You Want Blood: Rhythm Guitar Cover (Circus Krone 2003)

Revisiting a classic track I've covered in the past. Covering it right this time. Right guitar. Real Amp. No tone matching bullshit this time around. Been fighting and fighting with my Wizard Vintage Classic and my '64 Firebird for the longest time. Was just always trying to find THE tone (since it should in theory be the perfect combination to get THE tone) but was never getting anywhere.

UNTIL NOW

I managed to find the sweet spot. The exact combination of Guitar settings, Amp settings, and the right Impulse Responses to get that 2001-2003 era down. It's only a matter of some EQ in the mixing process to fine tune the tone to the various concerts / soundboards out there. But it feels so nice to have finally gotten this tone with this exact setup.

When I got the '64 Gretsch I really wanted it to be the main recording guitar but for whatever reason I was struggling --- even initially after putting in the SDF76. The payoff after struggling for so long is so nice. Like a weight lifted off my shoulders. No extra stress of feeling like I potentially wasted my money on gear.
