11/22/97 - #10 Florida 32, #1 FSU 29. The Noles came into this game unbeaten, ranked #1 nationally and favorites over the Gators, who lost the SEC East for the first time since the SEC went divisional in 1992. This one is memorable for Steve Spurrier alternating quarterbacks Doug Johnson and Noah Brindise nearly every play. Florida State held a 29-25 lead late in the game when Johnson connected with Jacquez Green for a 62-yard pass play that set up Fred Taylor's game-winning touchdown run, costing the Seminoles a chance to play for the national championship.
