🇯🇵 Kurodani Avalanche Barrier 2 & 3 (Ono, Fukui Japan) [4K Binaural]

These walls were made after an avalanche/avalanches in 1927 and 1981 that killed a large number of people and destroyed their houses.

I had a chat with a local guy after filming this. Interestingly he said that he actually did not want this wall and was against building it because he thought and still thinks it looks ugly.
