Two storm systems are active on both sides of India right now!
👉 Over the Bay of Bengal, a deep depression / weak cyclone (JTWC Cyclonic Storm 01B, pressure ~993 mb) is crossing near the Odisha coast between Gopalpur and Puri, with winds 65–75 km/h, heavy rainfall 200mm+ and risk of flooding across North Andhra Pradesh, South & West Odisha, West Bengal and Bangladesh.
👉 Meanwhile, in the Arabian Sea, another depression (995 mb, winds 45–55 km/h) is intensifying westward and could strengthen further into a cyclone in the coming days, impacting Gujarat, Saurashtra, Kutch and parts of SE Pakistan with rain and strong winds.

Both these systems combined with an approaching Western Disturbance (Oct 5–9) will trigger widespread heavy rains across Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, East UP, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal, Uttarakhand and J&K in the first half of October.
