The ice was a mirror, the ice was a wall
We huddled in circles, afraid we would fall
Into the silence, the hunger, the night
Fighting the cold with our last bit of light.
But a whisper rose up from the oldest one there:
"This breath that we share, this fire, this care...
It isn't our own. It's a loan from the deep.
A promise to keep while the glaciers sleep."

Given a shape from the cradle to the grave.
Our work is to gather the scattered and cold,
