On the sixth day of the Alex Murdaugh murder trial, testimony opened with law enforcement's cellphone data analyst.
Former FBI agent Dennis Franks and attorney Brian Claypool discussed what effect this will have on the case. Franks says using this data is an attempt to see, step-by-step, what was occurring at the time of the killings, but Claypool pointed out that the technology won't show who had the phone last. Instead, Claypool said, that that information will come from fingerprint analysis and other methods.
