The Nikon D40 is a consumer grade Nikon DSLR released in November of 2016. The Nikon D40 is a 6.1 megapixel crop sensor DSLR. They sell on Ebay for 39-150 dollars making the Nikon D40 a budget friendly option for anyone looking to get into photography at a reasonable price and allowing for further investment in lenses and equipment! In this video I took the Nikon D40 out with my Sigma 10-20mm wide angle lens and my Yongnuo 50mm f1.8 prime lens. I have a few issues with the Nikon D40, but overall the camera performed extremely well and is a camera I would recommend to anyone looking for a budget friendly Nikon DSLR. This 2021 review is another one of our dives into the world of budget friendly beginner and used DSLRs. I have also started working on the Nikon D40 landscape and street photography reviews!
