Honda Rebel Bobber Motorcycle project - NOT Blue Collar Bobbers

This was my first bike a 2007 Honda rebel 250cc. I bobbed it over the winter of 2014-2015 on a budget. made all of the custom brackets in the shop. came out great, decided to sell it and it was sold in less than 1 week. it was a fun little project, always raised eyebrows. getting the parts and brackets just right took a little work. almost wish i hadn't sold it. i looked at possibly doing the work with parts from Blue Collar Bobber but they were just too expensive. i either purchased items on ebay or made them myself.

while i liked the bike, the reality is i am just too heavy for this little motorcycle. i was able to get it up to 75-80 mph but it took a long time to get there and the bike struggled. it was clear after 1000 miles that i need to upgrade to a bigger bike.

this was a fun little motorcycle and if i had enough space i wonder if i would have though about selling my Honda rebel. the bike i bought after this one was the Yamaha Bolt 950. i tested a Harley 883 and a Honda shadow 750 but neither of those two bikes were comfortable for me. the Star bolt or Yamaha bolt depending on how you like to refer to them is a great bike but as i found out it had its failings, and i traded it in after 2000 miles. to see my owner review of the Yamaha star bolt you can click here for the video    • Yamaha Bolt Star Bolt owner review
