Find TENSION in Two Uneven Strings Holding Up a Block | Statics For Physicists & Engineers

Описание к видео Find TENSION in Two Uneven Strings Holding Up a Block | Statics For Physicists & Engineers

Calculate the tension in two supporting strands which are holding a block in static equilibrium.

Set Newton's Second Law in both the x and y axis equal to zero. Knowing the components of forces in any axis must add up to zero it is possible to set up a system of equations that can be used to solve for the tension in each string.

This problem commonly appears in introductory physics courses that look at statics including AP Physics 1 and AP Physics C. Additionally it comes up in engineering courses such as PLTW POE.
