This video details my experiences with the time based events in my game being disrupted and not working properly AND a solution to that problem. This is something I was struggling with for like the last week so to finally have a fix is such a relief. I now want to extend this knowledge out to anyone else who needs it, because I found myself struggling to identify exactly what was wrong with my game and how to approach/ solve the problem.

Basically what happens is if you're connected to the internet and start messing with your date/ time settings on your Switch, you run the risk of TimeLocking your game. This means the time freezes on your file. Raids don't refresh, strong spawn Pokemon don't respawn, trees do not regrow, etc. I'm assuming this is some sort of glitch that is resultant of tampering with the time while connected to the internet. Anyway, the fix is quite simple really: make sure you're not connected to the internet any longer. Find and active raid den in your game and enter it. Search for other players (I know you're offline, just trust me) and once it starts, return to your home menu. Go into the system settings and move the date forward one day. Once you resume your game, you can exit the raid search. You should see the den lit up with watts again. This means it worked! You've reset the time in your game and things should flow normally again.

Because time is such an important aspect of this game (different days, different weather, different Pokemon) I'm sure many people have encountered this fluke issue, as I'm sure you and I will again. Now we have a fix and I really hope this was helpful to you because BOI the relief I felt when I saw that Tyranitar spawn lol. Back to shiny hunting him thank GOD!
