With all the resources North Korea expends projecting a false outside view of what their country is like to outsiders, its no wonder the facade doesn't hold up to scrutiny, as there's nothing left for the millions of people trapped there. However, what is made there is apparently some absolutely fantastic beer, and some crappy soju with a hilarious propaganda video I found on YouTube that no-one ever watched.

Neither of these are available, however, what with North Korean borders getting tighter every day, trade embargos etc... Therefore, not wanting to abandon this fascinating topic, I've instead made a North Korea themed cocktail that I think captures a lot of what's left of the country's culinary culture.

Recipe:
2oz chilli-bacon-horseradish infused soju
1.5oz blended kimchi
0.5oz lemon juice
4 to 6 dashes Worcestershire sauce
2 dashes hot sauce
4oz tomato juice
pinch black pepper
pinch salt
roll between two tins over ice
Garnish with a celery stick and lemon wedge
Enjoy, and bask in the glory of the Dear Leader!
