Dayton 4C154C 24" Pedestal Fan

A Dayton 24" industrial pedestal fan model 4C154C. I remember seeing these all over when I was younger, particularly at some of the garden stores in the area. I always liked them and have wanted to get one for years, but had nowhere to store it or use it. Now that I have somewhere to use it, I started to ramp up the search.

This one surfaced on the Facebook Marketplae. It was originally going for 35 dollars. I arranged pickup with the seller, and the seller never surfaced. He later admitted he missed the pickup because he fell asleep. He offered to drop the price to 20 dollars if I were to come back a second time. I was hesitant because I don't like to waste time or get fooled twice, but I decided to take the chance. Fortunately it worked out and I ended up with the fan at an even better price than anticipated.

It's in decent condition for the type of equipment and intended use case. It seems like it took a fall at some point, which may have damaged the blade and ruined the control switch. Both are easily obtainable parts and could fare to be replaced. The bearings are usable, but also would probably best be replaced. With those 3 parts replaced, it should run like new.
