On July 20, 2024, the Rotary Club of Accra-Industrial, in collaboration with the Rotary Clubs of Tema-Meridian, Tema, and Accra-Spintex, embarked on a significant tree planting project at Lashibi Senior High School in Sakumono. This initiative was carried out under the expert guidance of officials from the Forestry Commission of Ghana.

Despite the continuous rain, the project was a resounding success, showcasing the determination and commitment of all involved. The variety of trees planted included citrus, oil palm, flamboyant, mango, Militia, Kokodua, Moringa, cidrella, montalis, and coconut. Each tree represents a step towards a greener and more sustainable environment for the school and the community.

President Elect Amit Mahajan of the Rotary Club of Accra-Industrial led the team and expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the partners who made this project possible. Special thanks were extended to RP Adelaide Owusu Mensah from the Rotary Club of Tema-Meridian, RP Padmanabhan Menon from the Rotary Club of Accra-Premier International, RP Linda Anang from the Rotary Club of Tema, RP Ekow Afedzie, CP Sika Tettey, and PP Nortse Amarteifio from the Rotary Club of Accra-Spintex.
