The Granny Square Card Deck Review. Film Date: 12/31/2024

Hi. Been a minute since I posted my last video. Working my way back to my routine. ;)
I received in the mail on the 31st The Granny Square Card Deck by Claire Montgomerie. Now my first impression wasn't the best. So, I had to sit back and look at things again from a different prospective. All of the squares are done with the same hook size and the same weight of yarn. They are also photographed at the same depth of field. However, doing this does wash out some of the colors like the whites and the light yellows. Those could have been either switched out with different colors or a sharper lens used to pick up more detail in the stitching.
Several of the squares are very similar. However, if you follow the squares down through the deck, you will see that with each square she pushes you to up you skill just a little. So, by the time you get farther down to the more complex squares, you will have little to no problem accomplishing them.
So ... did I like it? I thought it served it's purpose. Do I think it's the greatest thing since 'sliced bread' ... :D No. But for the Beginner, I think it's worth looking into.
