Everyone has a different experience when starting their business, but it’s important to gauge your expectations so you’re not discouraged by the difficulty when you start.

Eric Wooten started his first business a year and a half ago, and he describes it as an uphill battle every day.

Coming from the church world for the past 15 years, he realizes he’s out in the wide-open where he has a lot to learn. He had to learn how to start a YouTube channel, buy a video camera, and upload a YouTube video.

Eric has felt like he’s been walking through deep snow day after day after day in snowshoes. But at least he feels like he’s recently upgraded to cross-country skis.

Starting out is hard. But if you keep at it, and keep helping people solve problems, it gets easier and the path gets more clear.
