I've been getting more comments relaying the opinion that upgrading a rental with rental friendly diys is a waste of money and that I should instead be saving to buy a house. Many of the comments are just straight up rude and clearly some people feel very strongly about this.There are several reasons why someone might be renting instead of buying a house. Some people might just never want to buy, or never be in the right position to buy. There is the financial aspect, which is huge and can be super prohibitive, and there are also other reasons that may come in to play as well. I decided to make this video as a reminder that we shouldn't jump to judgements about why people are doing what they're doing, AND as a reminder that contentment in life is huge. For me, doing little upgrades to a space that may not be my ideal space brings me a lot of joy and really allows me to be contented with where I am. That of course doesn't mean that we don't have dreams and aspirations that we work towards. Love you ❤️
