Vocalizing the Rudiments -Part 1 -The Paradiddle Family

Описание к видео Vocalizing the Rudiments -Part 1 -The Paradiddle Family

Here is a video lesson on vocalizing stickings into groups of notes. This first chapter deals with the paradiddle family. With this concept you have a word for each sticking so a single paradiddle would be "single" a double paradiddle would be "double" and a triple paradiddle would be "triple" this one thought process transfers to your hands enabling you to play most any sticking with ease after some practice. It also facilitates playing in any odd time signature because of the different number of notes in each type of paradiddle.
This concept is similar to Indian Tabla drumming where the language of the music transfers to hand motions and rhythms.
The pad I am using is an original Quiet Tone drum mute and the sticks are 70 gram leopardwood which I make and sell. If you are interested in a pair you can contact me at [email protected]. You can find out more about the sticks here https://rickdior.com/sticks/
