"Time Stand Still" is from the 12th Studio Album by RUSH called Hold Your Fire released in 1987. It peaked at #3 in the U.S. Rock Charts. TSS was the 1st song Neil wrote for the album. Til Tuesday's singer Aimee Mann sang the female vocals on this track for $2,000. The theme for this album was "instinct" which was the reason for naming the Album "Hold Your Fire".

This was another tough song for me to figure out how to transpose Neil's rhythms to my Drum Kit set-up. Eventually I found out how to get "close". I have about 13 hours of seat time learning this one and again, I'm still not completely satisfied with the ride pattern technique. It's a "Work in Progress"....

I gave the Acrolite another try for this song. It is the most sensitive snare I've ever played. My ghost notes cut through WAY TOO LOUD because I'm a bit heavy handed and that doesn't mix well with this snare haha

My story:
Married at 22 years old, 3 kids soon after. Watched the ship sail at a young age, no regrets there, just life choices that we all have to make and hopefully family takes priority. My wife and I are empty nesters now so I feel like it's my time again, you know.
