I am dedicating this video with the English version and the Chinese Mandarin version of Begin The Beguine to Ramona McKean. Miss McKean is genuinely in love with the Chinese culture. She went to China the 1st time in 2004 to teach English (at a Harbin university). She has written a book, Dancing in the Heart of the Dragon, a Memoir of China. In 2014 she returned to China to travel with a group of humanitarian doctors.

Teresa Teng's version of “Begin The Beguine” is based on the original score written by Cole Porter at Ritz Hotel in Paris, October 1935 and sung by June Knight in the 1935 Broadway musical Jubilee. It was released in Japan in June 1983 in her first debut album　旅人　(Tabibito) (28TR-2018). After her passing, this song was also included in the CD (TACL-2401) as one of her three original albums and sold by Polydor in September 1995. The Mandarin Chinese version 愛的開始 (Love’s Beginning), was published by Hong Kong Polydor’s “Island Love Song Series Number 8” and Golden Sound’s “Events Like Yesterday” (KSR1084).
