Plot
Rupert travels with Ottoline to her Aunt Felicity's Inn, and once there they both learn of her aunt's financial trouble. Aunt Felicity tells Rupert, Ottoline and Phoebe to help clean up. Before touching a single box, Phoebe rummages through some of his item and finds a device with speaker on it, when pressed it creates a laughing noise. Desperately guessing what was inside, Phoebe excitedly announced the discovery of the "laugh box". Rupert corrects Phoebe that the laughing show on Phoebe's tv is a sitcom, but Phoebe insists that it is a sitcom while pointing her finger at the tv.

At night, Rupert & Ottoline has become terrified of the laughter until hears Phoebe laughing while also holding the device, now realizing that he is responsible for the seemingly disembodied laughter. Rupert & Ottoline chases him in revenge but fails, he then tries to lie down to catch his breath only for the device to land into his mouth, swallowing it. He then grabs a remote to control the device. The laughter can now be heard inside Rupert & Ottoline's stomach, to his panic. He tries to drown out the noise by eating all kinds of food but is unsuccessful.

Rupert & Ottoline then hears the doorbell from his door. He opens it to finds Winston Muskrat trying to breakup, the couple walk to his kitchen where they eventually argue and trash the whole room. Aunt Felicity then storms off in anger, leaving Winston Muskrat all alone. Just then, the device inside Rupert & Ottoline turns on, generating another laugh track. Aunt Felicity mistakes this for Winston Muskrat laughing at her and decides to slaps his face in retaliation. The devices turns on again, this time Winston Muskrat mistakes this for Rupert & Ottoline laughing at his humiliation, he decides to attack Rupert & Ottoline and kicks him out of his own home.

After going through the city with the laugh track being played over all of his painful humiliations, Rupert & Ottoline finally goes back home. Winston Muskrat opens the front door and see a beaten up Rupert & Ottoline who gives a weak gasping breath. Winston Muskrat realizes and wonders if he is mistaken the whole time. Suddenly, a gust of wind blows the curtains which move a potted cactus, which lands in his feet causing him to scream in pain. At the same time, the door slams into Rupert & Ottoline, forcibly spat out the device which then lands into Winston Muskrat's mouth, putting him in the same situation. Aunt Felicity then comes back to forgive Winston Muskrat, though the laugh track plays again, making her angry again, thinking Winston Muskrat did not take her seriously this time. She then slaps Winston Muskrat for the second time and storms off. Winston Muskrat take notices to the Rupert, Ottoline & Phoebe laughter. Realizing that the Rupert, Ottoline & Phoebe were the ones playing the laugh track all this time, Winston Muskrat crushes them with his fly swatter.

At the couch, Rupert, Ottoline & Phoebe puts on a stick puppet show to cheer up Winston Muskrat. At first, he remains unchanged about the play until Rupert, Ottoline & Phoebe begins to whack the sticks together, injuring the Puppet in the process. Winston Muskrat then plays the laugh track, satisfied by the Puppet' suffering.

After the puppet show is over, Phoebe and Ottoline tie up Rupert and Winston Muskrat, then tickle them both.
