15 Lap 1
48 Lap 2
14 Lap 3
35 Lap 4 - Someone attacks from the front? Goes solo.
06 Creating space for Alex to come out from behind a stagnant train. Artemis rider attacks. Then, a DMVCR rider comes up fast into a very tight inside line for no reason. Formerly Faster(?) rider didn't like that much haha.
00 Lap 5
22 Lap 6
59 KBS(?) rider attacks left. GII rider and Carlos (BikeDoctor) chase.
52 Lap 7 - Mike Nedd (IR4D) and GII rider chase.
18 Lap 8
37 BYC rider on my right hip (like the KBS guy in the 35+ race) for no great reason and Nate gets pushed right by GII rider and I bump Nate.
58 2 riders attack left. Nate chases. Alex follows GII rider, I follow Karl (BikeDoctor).
47 Lap 9
24 Karl (BikeDoctor) chases the break. No idea why Alex chases that (not in anyone's draft) when Nate is up the road. Maybe he got bored? That happens to Alex haha.
01 Lap 10
22 Colby: "I'm behind you, James"
29 Lap 11
01 Lap 12
25 Lap 13
50 Lap 14
16 Lap 15
43 Lap 16
07 Lap 17
36 Lap 18
54 Lap 19
22 Lap 20
07 Karl (BikeDoctor) attacks. Nate chases him back.
47 Lap 21
13 Lap 22
44 Lap 23 - "6 laps, Alex!"
12 Lap 24 - Wind has picked up throughout the race. I'm spending way too much time getting hit by it!
39 Lap 25 - Bell rings for a prime lap! Not sure what the prime was though haha. Got hit by lots of wind...
24 Luke (meta.cc) swerves a bit and that was VERY unexpected lol
00 Lap 26 - 3 laps to go.
26 Lap 27 - 2 laps to go. All 4 SLR teammates assembled. Time to stay near the front and then execute the lead-out plan.
24 Colby and Nate both do a GREAT job of feeling the pressure behind and knowing it's time to push up and stay on the front. This is where I fall off our group because I did not hold Nate's wheel. Completely my fault/downfall.
48 Final lap! - Pace is way too high for me to do anything about the bad decision. Can't correct it now. Also, been getting hit by a lot of wind the entire last 5 laps or so.
57 I remember this moment in the race. I knew I could pedal a few hard strokes and make it back near the front, but the wind was strong and I decided against it in the moment. Looking back on it now, even if I made it back up to them, I probably would have been of little to no use in the finish and likely would have gotten in the way.
57 Literally nowhere to go. Trying to emergency stop at 30 mph while turning in a corner is nearly impossible and my rear wheel loses all traction. Curb actually helped me stay upright and Willy's butt was crucially helpful - sorry, dude. The timing and cascade effect of everything gave me no outs. Thankfully, no real injuries for me from a situation that could have been far worse. Happy Father's Day to me!
