It's been one month since "Operation Midnight Hammer," the U.S. military strikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities featuring the first practical use of 30,000 lb. "bunker buster" bombs. As U.S. intelligence officials and global atomic experts continue to assess the damage, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi disclosed in a new interview that the facilities were "seriously damaged."

The precise extent of the damage and how much of Iran's enriched uranium stockpile is left was still being evaluated by the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Araghchi said.

“(Iran's nuclear program) is now stopped because yes, damages are serious and severe, but obviously we cannot give up our enrichment because it is an achievement of our own scientists and now more than that, it is a question of national pride," Araghchi said.

Last week, several media outlets reported that new U.S. intelligence said the Fordow nuclear site was mostly destroyed. According to the reports, the damage done to the other two sites, Natanz and Isfahan, was less severe, the latest assessment contradicting President Donald Trump's claims that the strikes he ordered "obliterated" the facilities.
