And with this in mind, the game couldn't have started worse for the Owls of Sheffield Wednesday as a bad pass by Ndala allows Patrick Bamford to be put through on goal and score the opening goal of the game to make it 1-0 to the Blades - Sheffield Wednesday 0-1 Sheffield United!
Then it got even worse for the Owls as Wednesday under the kosh concede another goal this time through Harrison Burrows who doubles the lead for United, making it 2-0 - Sheffield Wednesday 0-2 Sheffield United!
After this, United almost backed off a bit, just keeping possession until half time, the half time score being - HT Sheffield Wednesday 0-2 Sheffield United!
The second half had a much different story though, early on Kalvin Phillips had a reckless challenge and received a red card putting Sheffield United down to 10 men and the Owls captialised and through Charlie McNeil were about to score a great goal outside the box to make it 2-1 and give Sheffield Wednesday hope in the Steel City Derby! - Sheffield Wednesday 1-2 Sheffield United!
But unfortunately, Wednesday couldn't get another goal to equalise the match, and towards the end to stop an attack Garbiel Otegbayo received a red card for a second yellow after bringing down a Sheffield United man, after this the Blades had some more chances but the game was pretty much over at this point, the full time score being - FT Sheffield Wednesday 1-2 Sheffield United!
Although that confirms our relegation to League One from the Championship, i'm very happy with the goal and the performance, we really went out with a bang in my opinion, now we can focus on rebuilding next season!
