9-BALL FINALS: Mika IMMONEN vs Corey DEUEL - 2001 26th U.S. OPEN 9-BALL CHAMPIONSHIPS

9-BALL – It was during the Finals of the 2001 U. S. Open 9-Ball Championships that USA’s Corey DEUEL was pitted against Finland’s Mika IMMONEN. Deuel played in his first U.S. Open when he was only 17 years old, yet he was only 23 during this match. Earlier in 2001, he won the BCA Open and the Reno Open, so we knew he was ready. Immonen, 28, had already accumulated titles in his young career including the 2001 World 9-Ball Championships. Due to the creative imagination and genius of Deuel, this match became the one that changed the rules of 9-Ball forever! Don’t miss it.
