Trooper's Report:

On Saturday, August 21, 2024, while on routine patrol in the area of Interstate 630 West, near Mile Marker #3, I
observed/clocked a Red BMW Passenger Car pass me at approximately 73 MPH in a 60 MPH Speed Zone.

I proceeded to get into position to initiate a traffic stop while the vehicle was exiting at Cedar Street/Pine Street (Exit #3).
After running the Arkansas temporary license plate (DA-646-279), I activated my lights/sirens.

The vehicle continued to slow-role to find a location to stop.
I then verbally commanded the driver over the vehicle's Public Announcement System.

The vehicle stopped in the 3900 block of West 6th Street.
As I neared the passenger-side rear door, the vehicle fled the traffic stop location.

At approximately 11:13 AM, I pursued as the vehicle made a left (headed South) on Jack Stephens Drive.

I observed the vehicle make another left (headed East) on West 7th Street.
I lost sight of the suspect vehicle near West 8th Street and Cedar Street and terminated the pursuit at approximately 11:14 AM.

Approximately 20 minutes later, Troop A Dispatch advised that the Little Rock Police Department (LRPD) had a vehicle
matching the suspect vehicle description wrecked out at the corner of West 13th Street and Cedar Street.

The suspect/driver fled the scene of the crash.
The passenger, Azzie M. Woods, was transported to UAMS with minor injuries sustained during the
vehicle crash as a result of not wearing her seatbelt.

The vehicle was sold to Shabash M. Young, and he is suspected of being the driver during the
pursuit/crash.
