Cort Lunde is a duo consisting of Erik Lunde Michaelsen and Thomas Cortes. They experiment with innovative and forward-thinking music with a message. Their expression is both versatile and complex - a kind of absurd elevator music. Their music is born through an exploratory approach, and is the culmination of many years of collaboration as a duo and in different constellations. Flora Electronica is Cort Lunde's debut album. All compositions are dedicated to a specific danish plant or flower, and should be considered as a sound painting of this particular plant. It is a tribute to the Danish nature and its plant life. This approach has been a highly conceptual process. Compositions are created in the studio and based on the duo's Flora Electronica Tour, which was held in the summer of 2021. This is complemented by foley sounds from nature, bass, trumpet and synthesizers. All sounds are exposed to various forms of processing, to create reflection and thoughts about our cultural and technological relationship to nature.
