The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) passed away on 12th Rabi' al-Awwal, 11 AH (equivalent to June 8, 632 CE) in Medina. His passing occurred in the chamber of his beloved wife, Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her).

Illness and Final Days:

The Prophet (peace be upon him) was ill for approximately two weeks before his passing.

During this time, he was unable to lead prayers in the mosque, so he appointed Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) to lead the prayers.

In his final moments, the Prophet (peace be upon him) continued to give advice to his companions, emphasizing monotheism (Tawheed), prayer (Salah), and the importance of fulfilling the rights of others.


Final Moments:

Shortly before his passing, he made supplications for his Ummah (community) and reiterated the message of Islam.

The news of his death left the companions in shock.

Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) addressed the community, saying

Burial:

The Prophet (peace be upon him) was buried in the very chamber where he passed away.

The burial was performed by his closest companions, and prayers and blessings were sent upon him by the entire community.


The Prophet’s passing was an immense loss for the Muslim community, but his teachings and legacy continue to guide and inspire Muslims worldwide.
