Buying shoutouts can be great for building a brand, and getting more followers, fans, or listeners. That's one of the reasons I have an Instagram themepage in the rap music niche: Rising artists need a place to promote their music.

I figure as I grow my Instagram account, I'll have more artists that are interested in buying shoutouts.

I won't disclose how much I make selling shoutouts, but it's absolutely worth it. Selling shoutouts with an Instagram themepage is a relatively easy process once you get the hang of it. You can even automate things, so that you're making passive income. If you want to make a living selling shoutouts on Instagram, you really need to go for volume though.

That's a strategy that most influencer marketers use to make up for their low priced promos. They sell several each week. They're always promoting.

One way of selling more promo is to actively DM people with special offers and deals for your promo. In other words, instead of waiting for customers to come to you, you go out and DM them, to try and secure more sales.
