Economy is currently in a soft landing: Paul Krugman

Initial jobless claims data came in at 227,000, far below economist projections of 242,000. Nobel Laureate and New York Times Op-Ed columnist Paul Krugman joins Catalysts to share his perspective on the current economic landscape. "Overall, we're in great shape," Krugman states, emphasizing that the economy has avoided recession while successfully tackling inflation. While attention has shifted to potential economic cooling and Federal Reserve rate cut timing, he maintains an optimistic outlook: "Fundamentally, we went through this great cycle of high inflation and fears of recession, and we came out the other end in a really pretty good place."
