The Wimbledon story is one we'll never see again in English football 🤔 Although things have worked out in the end, that's only down to the hard work and support of the @afcw fans. The club was a victim of it's own success as Wimbledon flew up the football leagues, even winning the 1988 FA Cup along the way, beating Liverpool in the final 🏆 The were/are a founding member of the Premier League and remained playing Premier League football from it's beginning in 1992 until the Dons were relegated in 2000. In the wrong hands for many years and suffering financially, all the hearsay over the years become reality as Wimbledon Football Club relocated to Milton Keynes under the ownership of Pete Winkelman. This sparked outrage from the fans and therefore AFC Wimbledon was born ⚽️ From trials on Wimbledon Common in 2002 to returning home to Plough Lane in 2020 - it's been a rollercoaster ride for the fans BUT as we do a STADIUM TOUR of the new ground, known for sponsorship reasons as The Cherry Red Records Stadium, it's fantastic to see how far the phoenix club have come! 🤩 We love a stadium tour on Ry's Football Paradise, which is why I also took a look around the old Plough Lane and AFC's former ground Kingsmeadow 🏟️ If you enjoy Stadium Tours - you're at the right place - SUBSCRIBE for a wide range of football ground tours, nostalgia, match day action & EURO 2024 content 👍🏽 -Ry
