They are the founders of the Attune Functional Medicine clinic in Colorado, where they help people with complex health challenges - and even “unexplained symptoms” - to uncover the root causes of their illness so they can heal and reclaim their quality of life.

In 2018, they founded Help for HS, which is a comprehensive online resource for people impacted by hidradenitis suppurativa.

Drs. Biscoe and Egeland are members of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and the Colorado Association of Naturopathic Doctors, and they work actively with lawmakers to keep naturopathic medicine accessible to the public.

One of the tenants of naturopathic medicine is “docere” which means “doctor as teacher.” They take this role seriously and regularly spread their message through speaking engagements, blogging, YouTube and social media.

Here is the link to the Council on Naturopathic Medical Education (CNME). There is a list of accredited, 4-year naturopathic medical programs in North America.
Only NDs who graduate from one of these schools are eligible to take board exams and obtain a license:

Note: there are many states where NDs do accept insurance because they are seen as full physicians under the law. Some of their specialty lab testing and supplements may not be covered, but in many cases the visits are covered. These states include Washington State, Arizona, and Oregon just to name a few. So it's always best to check and check with your insurance company.
