Now why on earth would a very wonderful successful city want to form a new country? Well, Montreal does.

Montreal thinks is is still French. And Quebec has threatened to leave Canada many times in the past. These two facts have resulted in a lot of businesses leaving Montreal for Toronto.

We explored Montreal for a few days to see how these people live. We wanted to understand how the real estate prices are and what the cost of living is. We looked at the bad neighborhoods, the wealthy hoods and of course, the homeless issue. Which is actually pretty bad and getting worse.

In the end, we decided Montreal, and the rest of Canada, has a lot to teach Americans when it comes to quality of life.
