On Tuesday morning, a 40 year old Caseville woman, Erin Leigh Buchholz, who is facing charges of Home Invasion-3rd Degree, was found to have again violated the conditions of her bond in the 73B District Court.

Judge David B. Herrington emphasized the seriousness of the violations, highlighting that Buchholz had repeatedly tested positive for alcohol use and had missed multiple retest alerts, demonstrating a clear pattern of disregarding court orders. He noted Buchholz had previously spent two days in the Huron County Jail for refusing to follow court orders.

The court ruled that Buchholz would be remanded to the custody of the Huron County Jail as a consequence of her continued violations. She is set to spend six days and five nights in custody, with her release scheduled for the following Sunday. Underscoring the importance of adhering to court orders and complying with the terms of bond to avoid further legal consequences.

Erin Buchholz is one of three individuals, along with Mason Pechette and Brandon Berry, charged with home invasion in connection with an alleged incident that took place in April. The trio is accused of entering a residence without the owner's permission, committing the act of breaking and entering. Buchholz is also facing additional accusations of assault and battery stemming from her alleged assault on two individuals present during the incident.

The preliminary examination is scheduled to take place this Friday on August 18th.
