Reichstag building is a house of the Imperial Diet (Reichestag) of the German.

The original Reichstag building was completed in 1894 and it was badly damaged in a fire in 1933. After World War II, the building fell into disuse. the building remains a virtual ruin until 1961. the restoration and exterior stripped of the majority of its statuary completed in 1964, however, the city makes efforts to retain the traces of its more recent history such as the bullet ridden façade and the graffiti left by the occupying Soviet soldiers.

British architect Norman Foster is completed of estoration and redesign of the building in1999, and the new German government convenes at the Reichstag for the first time on April.
