Agent X is an interrogation-room thriller shot on the RED KOMODO during my production workshop at the New York Film Academy. Created with zero budget and a small team, the scene explores a battle of wills between an agent and a prisoner.
The narrative builds slow-burning tension as the agent tries to convince the prisoner to join his team—a proposal met with resistance before gradually shifting toward reluctant acceptance. To heighten this psychological shift, I intentionally broke the 180-degree rule, visually reflecting the moment when power dynamics and trust begin to change. The deliberate crossing of the line enhances the audience’s sense of unease while marking a turning point in the negotiation.
This exercise was not only a test of technical craft but also of performance, pacing, and cinematic choices that reveal character through subtle tension.
