In this video I will share plans for an upcoming community stitchalong project featuring embroidery motifs or patterns or designs from the 1800s that would have featured on doileys and other vintage linens.

I’m really excited to be bringing these antique designs from the 1800s back to life.

Plus I will share an incredible free online resource pf antique patterns for all kinds of textile and fibre work including slow stitching, embroidery, cross stitch etc.

The source site is: http://www.antiquepatternlibrary.org

The particular resource that I’m sharing in this video is: http://www.antiquepatternlibrary.org/...

The teacup design is on page 109 in the above pdf and a copy of the design is on my channel’s community page as a single image so you can print it out or trace the design off your screen or monitor onto a blank Doily or linen:    • Запись

I’m really excited that I’ll get to chat with you in real time again while we’re doing this community stitch along project. I hope to do the first premiere this weekend.

This project will be great for beginners and more experienced slow stitchers who want to expand their collection of embroidered motifs to include in their projects like slow stitch quilts or the #Roxysjournalofstitchery Field Notes Edith Holden project.

I’ll be including my pieces in my Roxy’s a journal of Stitchery Treasure Hunt slow stitch quilt and my field notes journal too.

Here’s a link to the playlist for this project: Stitch along 1800s embroidery designs revival - slow stitching
