The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has responded to reports in the media, suggesting that the country's Central Bank Digital Currency, known as the eNaira, is a threat to the nation’s financial stability.

According to a press statement earlier today by the Director, Corporate Communications of the Apex Bank, MR. Isa Abdul-Mumin, the eNaira structure has continued to evolve and undergo modifications, targeted at improving the user experience across all interfaces and therefore, encouraged Nigerians to embrace the technology for greater financial inclusion.
