Today I have done the deed of selling my soul for cute Food Souls... Mont Blanc will be the first of many... as promised, here's a video showcasing him.

"Brioche", like most Harvest Diary Food Souls, sadly isn't the best. If you ask me, Mont Blanc is more of a Support unit, unlike what his Class suggests: a Magic Food Soul. His Basic Skill is decent, inflicting damage and a Defence Shred on the nearest enemy, allowing his teammates to dish out more damage as a result. On the other hand, I feel like his Energy Skill should have been better. He provides an Attack Boost to everyone and makes everyone's next 4 attacks heal themselves. If he was a Support Soul, I think it would be fine (there's no direct heal to everyone however). But since we're talking about a Magic Food Soul, it's a little underwhelming that Mont Blanc does not dish out some damage to the foe...

The lack of an Artifact also hurts his potential, if compared to his best friend Brioche. To add more salt, other Harvest Diary Food Souls do have an Artifact. Soba has an Artifact, Donut has an Artifact, Surströmming has an Artifact, Borscht has an Artifact... So why didn't Mont Blanc get one? Guess we'll never know... (You can tell that I'm fairly salty over this huh?)

Finally, the fact that he's a Harvest Diary Food Soul also hurts drastically his availability to be summoned to ascend him further, as he'll only appear in very few Event Pools (mostly or even only in Double-Pick Pools) makes it even harder. Bonus points (rather Penalty Points if we want to be more accurate) if that banner he appears isn't unlimited!

But was it worth the money? Honestly to me... yes. Even if he's very far away from the best meta-wise, he'll still be one my favorite Food Souls in my heart.

Chinese New Year is coming very soon. The time to sacrifice all my Crystals for a particular blonde accordionist is approaching by the minute...
