Sanju hails from a humble background, with her father working as a farmer and her mother as a housewife. She has three brothers and two sisters. Sanju began her education at Minu Inclusive School from L.K.G to 5th grade and later pursued a diploma from Sagar College. A bright student throughout her academic journey, Sanju has inculcated concept of inclusion right from her childhood. She now serves as a special educator at Minu Inclusive School.

My name is Sanju Gurjar, and I am currently working as a special educator at Minu School. I live in the village of Chachiyawas. I was enrolled to Minu School in 2007 in LKG class. When I joined Minu School, the villagers used to tell my parents that I would become crazy if I studied with the crazy children. However, the teachers assured my parents that I would remain as I am, which gave my parents the confidence to let me move forward.
I studied at Minu School up to class 5 with special children in an inclusive environment. We were taught and engaged together, allowing me to learn how to interact and behave with all kinds of children. From class 6 to 12, I attended the government school in my village. Because of my high percentage in 12th grade, I was awarded the “Balika Protsahan Puraskar”, which encouraged me to continue my education and become independent.
After completing my 12th grade, I pursued a D.Ed. in Special Education from Sagar College, operated by the organization. This course taught me how to understand and interact with children with various disabilities and meet their needs. I learned a lot about different teaching methods and how to care for children with special needs.
I currently teach primary and pre-primary classes. The pre-primary class consists of children aged 3 to 6 years, and the primary class includes children up to 11 years old. I have children with four different disabilities in my class, including autism, cerebral palsy, ID. I tailor my approach to meet each child's needs.
I received my education from Minu School, and now I am giving back by teaching the children here. I am very grateful to Minu School and RMKM for their support.
