20 Year's Commander Defeated Britishers | History of RANAUJESWARI BHAGWATI TEMPLE (रणउजेश्वरी भगवती)

In this episode, we came up with a video covering the history of Ranauneswari Bhagawati Temple of Tansen, Palpa. This 200-year-old temple was built by a 20 years old Colonel Ujir Singh Thapa to commemorate Nepali troops' victory against the East India Company. This war took place at Jitagdi Fort where Nepal defeated the Company army twice.


We are launching a series where we are trying to cover the historical sites of Palpa with the hope of bringing all the unheard stories behind these places. This is the first episode of this series and there are many more to come.
