Game, set, match! Just in time for Wimbledon season, we’re thrilled to announce the opening of new community sports facilities in Cwmafan and Port Talbot! 🎉🎾
Two newly refurbished sports areas have opened their doors at Talbot Memorial Park, Port Talbot, and Parc Siencyn Powell, Cwmafan. These fantastic new facilities are ready for you to enjoy, offering top-notch spaces for tennis, netball, and basketball. 🏀🏐
The £167,000 upgrade includes:
✅ Resurfaced games areas with improved drainage
✅ New court markings set to governing body standards
✅ Brand new court furnishings including tennis nets, and basketball and netball hoops
✅ New perimeter fencing
✅ Improved wheelchair accessibility
The project was made possible through the joint efforts of Neath Port Talbot Council and Sport Wales, with the support of Tennis Wales , Basketball Wales , and Wales Netball .
