The Tianmen Grand Bridge, 1,553 meters long, spans the Beipan River Gorge. Its main span is an 820-meter, single-span steel truss suspension bridge. It is a key and challenging project along the entire Anpan Expressway. The bridge's main towers, 192 meters on the Anshun side and 135 meters on the Panzhou side, feature a reinforced concrete portal structure. At present, the construction of the Tianmen Super Bridge on the Guizhou An (Anshun) Pan (Panzhou) Expressway, undertaken by China Railway Guangzhou Bureau, is progressing in an orderly manner.
Currently the second highest suspension bridge in the world, the Tianmen Bridge soars 560 meters above the famous Beipan River along the spectacular Anpan Expressway. The Tianmen suspension bridge is the third crossing of the Beipan River to exceed 500 meters in height after the Duge and Huajiang Bridges.
On July 23, with the lifting of the 13.6-meter-long, 36-meter-wide, 6.5-meter-high, and 241.8-ton steel truss girder, the Tianmen Bridge on the Guizhou An (Shun) Pan (Zhou) Expressway, undertaken by the China Railway Guangzhou Bureau, officially entered the stage of lifting the steel truss girder of the main bridge superstructure. The bridge is 1,553 meters long and spans the Beipan River Gorge. It is a single-span steel truss suspension bridge with a main span of 820 meters. It is one of the key and difficult projects of the entire Anpan Expressway. The main tower of the bridge is nearly 200 meters high, and the height from the bridge deck to the river surface is 560 meters. It is currently the third tallest bridge in the world and the world's tallest two-way six-lane steel truss suspension bridge. The steel trusses of the entire bridge adopt steel truss stiffening beams with a plate truss composite structure. It is divided into 61 lifting segments, and the total weight of the steel trusses is about 18,000 tons
Tianmen Bridge is the highest of several spectacular high level crossings on the amazing Anpan Expressway that cuts across an extremely mountainous section of Guizhou Province between Panzhou near the Guizhou/Yunnan border and Anshun in Guizhou Province. The Anpan is the only expressway in the world to have five bridges that exceed 300 meters in height including Liuchehe, Tianmen, Guniuhe, Wumengshan and Liuzhi Bridges.
Just 8 kilometers to the east is the epic Guniuhe arch bridge with a deck height of more than 400 meters and a span of 520 meters that ranks among the 10 longest arch spans in the world.
7月23日，随着13.6米、宽36米、高6.5米，重241.8吨的钢桁梁开始吊装，中铁广州局承建的贵州安（顺）盘（州）高速公路天门特大桥正式迈入主桥上部结构钢桁梁吊装阶段。该桥全长1553米，横跨北盘江峡谷，为主跨820米单跨钢桁梁悬索桥，是安盘高速全线重难点工程之一。大桥主塔高近200米，桥面至河面高度560米，是目前世界第三高桥，也是世界最高双向六车道钢桁梁悬索桥。全桥钢桁梁采用板桁组合结构的钢桁加劲梁，共分61个吊装节段，钢桁梁总重约1.8万吨。
天门大桥是目前世界第二高的悬索桥，横跨风景秀丽的安盘高速公路沿线著名的北盘江，高560米。继都格大桥和花江大桥之后，天门大桥是北盘江上第三座高度超过500米的跨海大桥。
这座桥长1553米，主跨820米，索垂比为9.5:1。引桥东侧设有11个40米跨，西侧设有7个40米跨。两座主塔高分别为200米和135米。桥面高出水库满水位548米，或高于北盘江原始水位约560米。
天门大桥是令人惊叹的安盘高速公路上几座壮观的高架桥中最高的一座。这条高速公路横跨贵州省山区，连接黔滇边境的盘州市和贵州省的安顺市。安盘高速公路是世界上唯一一条拥有五座高度超过300米的大桥的高速公路，包括六车河大桥、天门大桥、牯牛河大桥、乌蒙山大桥和六枝大桥。
向东仅 8 公里处是史诗般的牯牛河拱桥，桥面高度超过 400 米，跨度 520 米，位列世界十大最长拱桥之列。
