In this class, a series of individuals from different creative industries including a spatial experience designer, a director of operations, a solo designer and an executive producer. Each giving an overview of their role, the industry and what skills they use day to day.

This is a great class for anyone interested in getting a taste of what being a designer or working in the creative industry is like and provides some insight the huge number of jobs available, to explore other jobs within the creative industry, D&AD have pulled together a list and summary of other jobs you could venture into:

Account Manager
Account Managers act as the liaison between the client and the agency, operating as the lead point of contact for all matter associated with the client account.

Analyst
Analysts follow the coverage of a campaign or project for the client and agency, and are responsible for how effective the solution to the brief was.

Art Director
Art Directors produce innovative ideas for the visual elements for campaigns across a broad range of media.

Creative
Creatives come up with creative ideas which help bring forward fresh thinking and transform businesses and behaviour.

Creative Director
Creative Director is in charge of the creative department at agencies and monitor campaigns and contribute towards shaping brand standards.

Creative Team
The Creative Team is responsible for generating ideas that will entice the consumer or target audience. Members of the team work together to develop conceptual campaigns.

Copywriter
Copywriters create and deliver the words and verbal content that are part of the creative campaigns and projects.

Designer
A designer uses elements like typography, illustration, photography and layouts. They are aware of visual trends and deploy them in fresh and exciting ways across various touch points.

Design Director
Design Directors lead teams of designers that are responsible for executing campaigns, ensuring the creative vision is delivered.

Executive Creative Director
Executive Creative Directors lead the creative output at an agency and works alongside Strategists and Account Directors to communicate with clients.

Media Planner
Media planners produce action plans for campaigns from pre-defined objectives to suit the best platforms for the brand, product or campaign.

Planner
Planners are responsible for planning, defining and implementing the creative brief for new campaigns and projects.

Production Manager
Production managers plan, coordinate and control manufacturing processes so that products are delivered on time and within budget.

Strategist
Strategists provide analysis and insight through researching and gathering data around the clients business in response to the brief.

Studio Manager
Studio managers organise the agency projects and oversees the right people to work on the job. They make sure the agency delivers work on time.
