Logan Alexander Smith, a member of Troop 37 - Munsey United Methodist Church in Johnson City, TN, is currently a senior at Science Hill High School. His scouting journey began in 2011 as a Tiger Cub in Pack 25 - Wesley United Methodist Church where he earned the Arrow of Light. He spent seven years with Troop 37, served as Senior Patrol Leader, and earned the rank of Eagle Scout in 2022. He enjoyed spending time as a camper at Camp Davy Crockett and particularly enjoyed canoeing, hiking, and scouting activities with his friends and younger brother, Tristan (currently a Star Scout).
Outside of scouts, Logan has been a senior captain of the Science Hill Swim team and 4-year State qualifier, a swimmer with the Barracuda Swim Club, a member of the First Christian Church youth group, and a cello player with the Science Hill Orchestra. He is currently pursuing his lifeguard certification with the City of Johnson City. With a 4.42 GPA and 36 on the ACT, his academic awards include being recognized as a National Merit Finalist and a candidate for the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program. Logan is awaiting admissions decisions from several colleges and plans to study mathematics, education, and public policy.
Logan is the son of Rick (Eagle Scout, 1992) and Allison Smith and the grandson of Gary and Sue Speer of Johnson City, Tennessee, and Katie and the late Ben T. Smith, Jr., of Thomaston, Georgia.
