Tandy Morgan - Earthrise - 01 Earthrise / Under the Blue / Asteroid

Earthrise is a synth-rock concept album conceived by David Morgan (now known as David Scott-Morgan) in the seventies, which he arranged and recorded with Richard Tandy in 1983, with Steve Lipson as producer/engineer. Earthrise was released in 1985 on LP and cassette tape, and in 1992 on CD. In 2011, the CD was re-issued through Rock Legacy with additional material.

Although much admired by many ELO fans (Richard of course being ELO's keyboardist and Dave Morgan also being part of the unofficial ELO line-up in those days), the release was plagued by total absence of proper marketing, denying it the considerable impact that it could have made in those days.

In this Earthrise playlist, the songs of the original 1985 cassette release have been supplemented with animations and lyrics. The music has been enhanced slighly to get a more up-front sound. Even so, some original tape hiss is still present when played loud.
