After Effects tutorial: handwriting animation. In this video I'm going to show you all the ways I use handwriting in my videos. From very simple to animated. I use an iPad and Pencil for the handwriting. There are 4 different stages: the quick and dirty way to pro, pro+ and the 'perfectionist' tier level.

The 4 different methods have different difficulty levels and requirements (software). I did all my handwriting with the App Procreate, my iPad and Pencil and from there I show you how to use it professionally in your videos.
In the more difficult stages I use apps like Adobe Illustrator (to vectorize) and Adobe After Effects (to animate) the handwriting, i.e. the text reveal effect and 2 different techniques of the handwriting / hand-drawn effect.

If you don't have After Effects you could use the same ideas in Final Cut Pro OR DaVinci Resolve.
