With the exploding popularity of the OBS (old body style) '88-'98 gmc/chevy pickups in the last few years, Grady Alley's '97 GMC 1500 extended cab is one that's unique in more than one way. This fourth generation GMC Sierra SLE pickup was purchased brand new by Grady. Now some 25 years later with only 44,500 miles on the odometer the paint and interior are still like factory new. After driving it a couple years Grady decided to pep it up a little by installing a magnuson supercharger and started competing in the NMCA running in the 14's. Like any racer the need for speed prompted Grady to eventually build a new engine for the truck. Starting with a 400 ci sbc/dart block, all forged internals, edelbrock heads with a D1 Procharger Grady runs his best time to date 10.54 during a test n tune event at Byron Dragway. #sleeper #obs #procharger
