BBCF - Iron Tager Beginner Combos

Small "celebration" of sorts. Also, more resources for learning Tager below.

Basic Gadget Finger (0:00)
5A - 5B - 3C - 22D
Tager's shortest combo using Gadget Finger. You generally want to end combos with it.

Basic A Sledge (0:07)
5A - 5B - 3C - 236A.236A
Same combo as above, but does more damage. With good timing it's possible to do 22D right after 236A instead of it's follow up.

B Sledge Starter Example (0:11)
236B - 5A - 5B - 3C - 22D
As long as you're close enough, you can always combo off of 236B with 5A, regardless of charge or counter hit. Naturally, a charged B Sledge allows for longer combos and more damage.

BnB 1 (0:17)
5B - 5C - 6A - 6BB - 236A.236A
Easy and damaging bnb. This was my first proper Tager combo. Also works as an ender for various combos starting with 6B.

BnB 2 (0:24)
5B - 5C - 6A - 2C - 623C - 22D
This combo is mandatory to learn. Just about all of Tager's combos rely on this one towards the end.

Basic Sparkbolt Extension (0:31)
5B - 5C - 6A - 6BB - 41236D - 5B - 5C - 6A - 2C - 623C - 22D
Combining the previous two combos. Sparkbolt will always give you a chance to follow up with 5B or 5C, so long as you're not too close to the corner.

Forward Throw (0:41)
B+C - 236B - 5B - 5C - 6A - 2C - 623C - 22D
Basic throw combo using a special cancel. If you want to keep sides, you can use BnB 1 instead after the B Sledge.

Back Throw (0:50)
4B+C - 5B - 5C - 6A - 2C - 623C - 22D
Same as regular throw.

Air Throw (0:59)
Same as Back Throw. Again, use BnB 1 to keep sides if you want.

Tager Driver (1:06)
360A - 22D
Not really a combo, but the command grab is important and does good damage. This move can also be done in the air, but press C instead. If you're new to using full circle motions, my tip is to actually press A just before you complete the circle motion. If you jumped, then you pressed the button too late. You can practice the timing by jumping and doing the circle input in the air and pressing the button as you land.

Wedge Catapult (1:14)
360B.360B - 22D
Same input as Tager Driver. Doing the follow-up will keep sides with the opponent. There are several ways to combo off of the first part of Wedge Catapult, including the BnBs listed above.

Basic EA Combo (1:22)
5D - 41236D - 5C - 6A - 2C - OD - 623C - 5A - EA
Tager usually uses his Exceed Accel as a reversal, but it can be comboed in to with the right set ups. Delay the 5A after 623C. If you want to combo into EA like this, the combo needs to be short or 5A will cause a reset.

Easy Astral Finish (1:41)
360B - 1080D
Easiest way for Tager to combo into his Astral Heat/Finish. Keep in mind the requirements for an Astral to occur.
