This promotion video is created by Yi-Wen HUNG in July 2025 for ChatbotLLM research project that VIP Research Group has done.
ChatbotLLM is an IEEE Northern Canada Section Capstone Project winning project. As you can tell from the following accepted paper at https://chatbot.vipresearch.ca/#publi..., ChatbotLLM is not only capable of learning from material in traditional formats like PDF, PPT(X), DOC(X), and TXT, but also can reading XLS(X), image-scanned based PDF, images in PDF, DOC(X), and PPTX, and even MP3 with the help of Google’s Speech Recognition library.

Different from other Generative AI tools or systems, all the responses were identified and generated based on the content users provided instead of generating things based on everything it learned from Internet or other sources and trying to answering everything include hallucinations for you. So ChatbotLLM would tell you "NO, I don't know" if it cannot find any relevant content for your question from the given course content.
An limitation ChatbotLLM has is the lack of "association, inference, deduction". So with the current configuration (i.e., identifying top N paragraphs that are related to the question) when N is smaller, than perhaps most of paragraphs identified are about concept A. Under such circumstance, ChatbotLLM cannot respond a question like "What are the major differences between concept A and B?"
At the end, I just want to remind you all one more thing. Two of the 21st century skills that everyone should have are
(1) "verifying the accuracy of information" -- any tools include Search Engines (e.g., Google, Bing, etc.), Generative AIs (e.g., Google Gemini, OpenAI GPT, Deepseek, etc.), and even ChatbotLLM are just giving you some information and you would need to always spend time to think about the given information and verify them with different sources.
(2) "learning how to ask questions" -- even when you search on Google or ask other human beings a question, you may not get what you need or satisifed answer, right? So it is very important to try to ask/elaborate your questions even for a Generative AI tool like ChatbotLLM, Google Gemini, OpenAI GPT, Deepseek, etc.
